Performance brings game soundtracks alive

Hundreds of Saskatoon game fans pay their controllers Wednesday night and, inside of a move that belies the gamer’s antisocial stereotype, gathered en mass for the performance of Online games Live at TCU Place.

Throughout the concert audience members taken part in a Frogger battle and one lucky fan with mad Guitar Hero skills reached get hold of a huge prize package for his expert rendition of Van Halen’s Jump. The evening was marked with a feeling of community.

The concert had a lot of favourites including Sonic the Hedgehog, Halo, Wow cataclysm release and Final Fantasy. Lots of lesser known titles got knowing cheers also.

If it weren’t to the screaming audience and people dressed like characters from Halo, you may realise this was an ordinary night on the SSO.
